Recommended Meditations
I’ll be adding meditations to this page as I find online descriptions/videos of the meditations I use most often.
Simple Mindfulness
Walking Meditation
- Walking Meditation How-to
Not all meditations are done sitting still on a cushion, and this is one I like when I’m walking in a safe and familiar space. It’s a good opportunity to halt one’s flow of mental chatter and focus awareness back on the body and the tensions inside it, to loosen muscles and bring one’s attention back on the breath and the now.

For Grounding and Connecting to Spirit
- The Unity Breath Meditation (on Youtube)
First shared by Drunvalo Melchizedek, this was a meditation I was taught to do before moving one’s awareness into the heart. It is great for grounding and centering oneself, to feel supported and surrounded by a bubble of love and protection. It is fairly simple, but moving at one’s own pace definitely brings more powerful effects.
Activating the Chakras
- Chakra Activation Meditation
The Chakra-linking and balancing meditation I use was first taught to me by a local healer; I had a dramatic experience the very same night that set me on the path I walk now. While I can’t find anything online describing it exactly, this wikiHow page comes close, and does a good job explaining the basics of the seven chakras–which some religious scholars have said may refer to the Seven Seals of Solomon in Biblical text. It’s actually really easy to design your own chakra meditation once you grasp that a healthy person should have the seven of them balanced and linked–and all that is needed to do this is intention, attention and energy (effort).
For Expansion, Connection & World Healing
- Love Bomb Meditation
This was almost overwhelming the first time I tried my own simplified version. The name of the meditation from Andrew Bojarski is pretty fitting because you’re absolutely bombarded by loving messages from every direction. Powerful stuff!
