Tea Time on the Level
Lunar Eclipse in Libra tomorrow. Emotions may feel pulled all over the radar, but this always proves illuminating if we maintain a part of ourselves as the dettached observer. For myself, I’ll be trying to play nice. Even if I may know I’m right in most disagreements (joke, really) (okay, not really).
All the messages I’m getting right now are that the sky’s the limit–actually, not even the sky. Anything can be manifested–some of it’s already come! (I’ve been enjoying myself the past week! The clarity’s been through the roof.) Seeds planted before will be poking through the ground now, and it’s not too late either to add more. Want something? Capture it in physical effort or physical form right now, no matter how small. The important thing is to feel it and mark it somehow. We’re starting on a new journey and into new territory. Take challenges in stride if they come, you need only return to the centre within–and on the outside, you may even want to start dancing.

Emmanuel Dagher: The End of Contracts
The energies that came in with March have been nudging us to go way beyond our comfort zone. If we weren’t aware that this was happening, we may have found ourselves feeling lost, confused, and at a point of experiencing some sort of emotional, mental, or physical breakdown.
Remember, a breakdown is just another term for “the dismantling of limiting patterns that no longer serve our highest and greatest good.” It’s the experience of no longer being able to find comfort in those limiting patterns.
A breakdown can actually be one of the most spiritual experiences we can have, because it gives us time to reassess our lives and create a new reality for ourselves.
Lots of people say it, and it can’t be denied… this would be a wonderful, balanced natural world if humans weren’t a part of it. Knowing how accepted this sentiment is, I feel for us. We’re not meant to be a curse. We see what’s been done to the earth and to us, and we’re working so diligently to comprehend what has allowed it, and what we can do to change it.
How did humans get so out of balance? By ignoring, fearing, demeaning, even hating and destroying a most vital part of ourselves.
Here’s how you handle an anti-gay pizza storm
You can make a point without becoming the thing you despise. You can start with support for individuals and businesses whose values are in line with yours. You can model good behavior. Not everyone will get it, but it sure beats stoking the ugly, noxious slash and burn mentality that only divides us all more deeply. You can vote with your feet and your dollars.
10 Shady Origins of Consumerism in the US
While it may seem like it’s our economic duty to continually spend (and subsequently work harder), in truth we could all work a fraction of the time and still have enough goods and services to meet everyone’s needs. Secretary of labor James J. Davis discovered this fact in 1927 and discussed it in an interview with “Nations Business,” pointing out that America’s textile mills “could produce all the cloth needed in six months’ operation each year” and only 14% of the country’s shoe factories were needed to provide every citizen with footwear for a year. Later in the interview it was suggested that all the world’s needs could be met by only three work days a week.
And from Laura Bruno: Joanna Macy’s “The Work that Reconnects”
Reconnection has been a theme lately.
One last thing I should mention: It has been a mild irritant to me lately to see many old, fear-based narratives still being perpetuated (outside of the spiritual circles), and I have been ruthless in cutting through them on social media when I’ve had the time and energy. So many boogeymen still being trotted out really need to go, and for some reason, it’s been easier to see through them–if you’ve been holding back for some reason, see through the fear, speak from the heart, and speak out for love. A strange coincidence had me constantly drawing Court cards from the Suit of Swords in the last few days–in other words, confirming the use of the intellect to, well, forge ahead. Much of the old fear-based propaganda still about no longer stands up to scrutiny and the tiniest bit of logic. The heart and the head can work together, and there’s nothing to stop us building a better world–but we have to drop those stories telling us that we can’t! What better way to step onto a new path than to lose one’s fear and start speaking our truth?
Happy Lunar Eclipse!
