The second eclipse for this month:
Mystic Mamma: SOLAR ECLIPSE New Moon in Scorpio October 23rd 2014
When we can look within and see how those stuck emotional patterns keep us from what we truly want in life, we can consciously choose to shed those old patterns like a snake skin. What may have protected us in the past no longer serves our on-going life and we have to die to an old way of being and acting, to be re-born to a higher level of consciousness.
This eclipse could expand your creativity. You could see solutions to long range problems. There is a synchronicity to this dynamic. You could be in the right place at the right time. Doors open up for you. Pay attention to your dreams. They could reveal important information for you. Listen to your intuition. It is strong now. The mind can fool you. Your intuition, your gut instincts will never fail you. The body is the messenger. What is your body telling you?
this new moon eclipse is a HUGE portal through the eye of the needle. we can move through loaded, heavily karmically backlogged crap right now. but it will take work, tenacity, a readiness/wilingness/ability to see our shadow, own our stuff, take responsibility for it and do something different so we can complete the karmic circumstances playing out in our lives ad nausea.
to add to this venus is conjunct the new moon- and when venus is conjunct the sun she is akin to inanna who journeyed into the underworld. sun/venus is a trip to the underworld and then we have both the sun and venus in scorpio, the sign associated with the underworld. this is about as deep, dark, cathartic and regenerative as you can get! and lest i need to remind you, dark does not mean evil. dark means dark. when you look at tree what you see above ground and in the Light are the trunk, branches, leaves. but below the surface of the earth we find the roots- and you cannot have a tree without roots. roots sustain us, roots feed us, roots anchor us into the world. the roots lay in the dark- so the dark i speak of when i am talking about scorpio is not an evil dark, it’s a fertile dark.
I got chills reading the above, as it echoes the messages of my snake dream (previous entry). Not all darkness is to be feared–it’s the space in which we can hide and find the strength to regenerate, the space from which trees find their strength to reach up to the heavens. My humongous black dream snake that bit me, after all, was something I had first seen as fertile black soil–and lol, if there is a fruit tree to be cultivated, I need to know how to possess that quality of fecund potential. (A new image has taken hold as I write this–the image of the blackboard. If any of us have ever felt that past experiences have taught us to be fearful/angry/ashamed/small, if you’ve been working on release, that slate has been wiped clean–and what tremendous work it has taken! This week, with the solar eclipse on Thursday, we hold the chalk anew. There is enormous potential about right now.)
I’ll be having a busy weekend (Oct 25-26th). Almost as soon as Mercury goes direct (as if I’m not to lose any time, lol), I’ll be manning a stall at Samsara Fair 6, a holistic fair happening along Haji Lane for two days. I’m also hosting two workshops, details below:
(Clicking on either image will take you to the registration form. The FaceBook page for the weekend event is here.)
